At various points in our lives we all have problems, unhappy times or bad experiences, which can leave us feeling confused or overwhelmed.
Counselling helps you to sort out and untangle your feelings and worries; it will provide you with insight into how you really think and feel and will help you make sense of your life again.
My clients have said that counselling is better than talking through problems with friends. That’s because friends have opinions and can often find it difficult to let you make your own decisions.
I will not judge you, I will not tell you what to do. Instead, I will give you time and help you identify and deal with the problems affecting your life. I will also help you develop a positive outlook and a healthier lifestyle.
Many of my clients have not only resolved their immediate problems or worries, but have also learnt useful skills that can be taken away and used in many situations.
Counselling can help move you towards the life you really want. It helps you build self-esteem, identify and develop your strengths and explore your goals, dreams, hopes.
Counselling may not make any problems you have go away, but it can help you cope with them far better. It can help you accept what cannot be changed, help you change the things that can be changed and support you while you do all this.
