I am passionate about my work and committed to enabling people overcome the difficulties they face and move forward in their lives. I have a genuine and caring nature, and I will listen, validate and support you without judging as you move towards your fullest potential.
Over the years, I have helped many people with issues such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears, self-confidence issues, obsessive compulsive disorder and lack of belonging.
My specialism is counselling children, and I work as a freelance in-school counsellor in primary schools across Kent, working from year 3 to year 6.
I was trained at Inter-Psyche (Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies) and gained a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. This means I integrate theory from various different counselling models to suit the person I am counselling.
With this adaptive approach I can help you find a resolution to your issue that suits you, your values and your way of life. This is done by working with you, by listening, prompting and helping you to clarify the difficulties you are facing, and the options you have.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy who promote the highest standard of training and professional ethics amongst its members. All personal information is treated in the strictest confidence and remains confidential even after therapy finishes.
I am also a qualified hypnotherapist, and member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy, so if you would also like to incorporate this approach into your counselling sessions we can discuss if this could be helpful with your particular issue.
