The initial session is an introductory meeting, providing an opportunity for us to meet one another and to look at what is troubling you. We will look at what you are hoping to achieve to ensure that counselling may be helpful.
Although it is helpful to know why you are coming, you do not need to come with a set agenda. It is your time to talk about whatever you want, and this may vary from session to session.
It is however, important that you have a willingness to explore your feelings and experiences.
Counselling for a specific problem may take only a few weekly sessions while deep-rooted problems or feelings that have been carried for a long time, may need longer.
Counselling is very much centred upon your needs; you will decide when you are ready to stop the counselling process.
My aim is to help you in the shortest number of sessions possible but the door is always open. Some clients choose to take a break and they can return to counselling at any time.
The initial session is 1 hour. Subsequent sessions are 50 mins. All sessions are £50 and payable on the day by cash or cheque.
